Now, AAP Promises Free Bus Rides for Male Students Too
Hindustan Times Chandigarh
|January 18, 2025
In another set of pre-poll promises, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said the party will provide free bus travel to school and college students if it is voted back to power in the upcoming assembly elections.
NEW DELHI:
Kejriwal also proposed a concession on Metro fares for students, urging the central government to share the cost with the Delhi government in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"After the AAP forms the government, bus travel will be made free for students. Currently, women enjoy free bus travel, so female students benefit from this, but male students do not," Kejriwal said at a press conference at the party headquarters.
