HC Rejects Review Pleas Against CM

The Kerala high court Friday dismissed two review petitions challenging the order of a special court which had refused to order an inquiry into allegations of corruption against chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his daughter Veena T.

The high court judge K Babu dismissed the petitions filed by now-deceased activist Gireesh Babu and Congress MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan challenging the order of the court of the enquiry commissioner and special judge, Thiruvananthapuram, declining to order vigilance probe against the CM and his daughter in connection with alleged favours and suspicious transactions with Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), a private minerals manufacturing firm.
