Jailed Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh on Friday moved the Punjab and Haryana high court, challenging the Punjab government's denial of his request for temporary release to attend the winter session of Parliament
The development comes a week after the high court had directed the Punjab government to decide on the lawmaker's petition seeking temporary release to attend the upcoming session. On Wednesday, the state rejected his representation reportedly citing potential law and order issues after receiving a report from the police.
