HC to hear Moitra’s plea against Lokpal nod for CBI charge sheet
Hindustan Times Amritsar
|November 18, 2025
The Delhi high court is set to hear on Tuesday Trinamool Congress (TMC) lawmaker Mahua Moitra’s plea challenging the Lokpal of India’s order granting sanction to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file a charge sheet against her in the alleged cash-for-query case.
The petition, set to be heard by a bench of justices Anil Kshetarpal and Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar, challenges the November 12 order where Lokpal had invoked its powers under Section 20(7)(a) read with Section 23(1) of the Lokpal Act, and allowed CBI to file a charge sheet within four weeks, and mandated that a copy be submitted to Lokpal.
