Class 9 student rapes 12-year-old, detained

A 14-year-old boy has been detained for raping a 12-year-old girl in Ilakal taluk in Bagalkot district of Karnataka while three of his friends have been detained for recording the incident, police officials said on Thursday.
BENGALURU:
The incident occurred on February 18, when the main accused, a student of class ninth lured the girl using chocolates to a vacant plot of land near a temple in the village where he raped her, the officials said.
