Naked man on ‘two day bender’ caused chaos

A NAKED thug who went on a cocaine and alcohol-fuelled rampage, randomly vandalising cars and urinating on a war memorial during a ‘two-day bender’ has been jailed.

Footage of the chaotic scenes circulated widely online, drawing tens of thousands of views.

The offender, Rhys Hicks, has now been sentenced after leaving motorists in “panic” as he terrorised the streets with the bizarre outburst.

Prosecutor Jillian Newton told Manchester Crown Court how earlier on June 29, Hicks had been at the home of a woman he knew in Middleton, where she lived with her partner. Hicks began shouting incoherently.

When she asked him to stop, he refused and soon became aggressive. Hicks pushed her with both hands, causing her to hit her back against a wall and fall.

She sought refuge upstairs and suffered a panic attack. Meanwhile, Hicks had left.
