THE Government has been urged to fund a “vision of the future” project designed to radically improve specialist care for the elderly and those suffering with dementia.

Hospice sees new nursing home as model for future of specialist care

Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay says a new model of care provided by its proposed Lavender Square nursing home development could become a template for a new national model for social care.

Lavender Square is planned to become an Al-enabled dementia and complex nursing home designed to cater to the rapidly growing demand for specialist care in Devon - one of the areas with the highest proportion of over-85s in the country.

All profits generated from the development will be reinvested into further dementia and palliative care services across Devon.
