New season at Chapelton Bowling Club

As the sun shone over Chapelton, the local bowling club welcomed the new season with exciting upgrades and community spirit.

With remarkable efforts from the grounds team-led by Neil Jamieson, Freddie Taylor and Willie Hamiltonalongside the dedicated committee and generous support from the local community, the club entered the new season stronger than ever.
During the off-season, the club went through impressive renovations, boasting brand-new changing facilities and rejuvenated playing surfaces, ensuring an even better experience for its members.
To mark the season's official opening, club president Steven Fleming and the committee invited longtime member Betty Queen to throw the ceremonial first bowl.
Betty, who recently celebrated her 85th birthday, modestly stepped up to the task, launching the season with grace and enthusiasm.
