Many Lanarkshire parents and carers are set to get new support to boost their income, with £21 million of funding aimed at helping families into better-paid work.
The Scottish Government has unveiled a package of targeted support through colleges and training providers, designed to help people at risk of poverty learn new skills while juggling family life.
A key part of the plans includes a £9 million fund offering flexible training opportunities for parents and carers - alongside extra help with childcare, travel and study costs.
