Sharjah Ruler, Sultan of Oman discuss cultural, historic ties

Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik of Oman welcomed His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, at Al Alam Palace in Muscat.

Upon his arrival at the Royal Flight of Oman, Sheikh Sultan was received by Khalid Bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court.

At the start of the meeting, Sultan Haitham warmly welcomed the Ruler of Sharjah and his accompanying delegation, highlighting the strong, historic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the close bond between their peoples.

During the meeting, existing areas of co-operation were reviewed, particularly in the cultural, scientific, and historical fields and Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq stressed the importance of developing and advancing these relations to serve the interests of both parties.

Sheikh Sultan conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Sultan Haitham, along with his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the Sultanate of Oman and its brotherly people.
