Sharjah is 99.7% safe, says the emirate's police chief

Major General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, commended the emirate's qualitative progress, exemplified by the increase in the safety feeling rate to 99.7 per cent in 2024.

He stressed that this success is a direct reflection of the insightful vision and wise guidance of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

His continuous patronage has played a key role in strengthening security, improving the preparedness of the police force and promoting its long-term development, in line with the UAE's aspirations for a safe society that enjoys stability and a high quality of life.

He also noted that the continuous interest and tireless followup of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, had a significant impact on supporting the development process.

This enabled the General Command to achieve its security and societal goals and enhance the efficiency of police performance within a strategic framework based on quality, institutional integration and strengthening community partnerships.
