Schools use metal detectors to find students' mobile devices

Through circulars sent to parents and students, public and private schools have announced their adoption of modern inspection systems involving metal detectors, as an alternative to physical inspections, to seize mobile phones and smart watches.
This is in line with the Ministry of Education's decision to prohibit phones on school premises. According to the circulars, these devices emit an audible or visual alarm when a phone is detected and can detect attempts to conceal them in bags or clothing.
