Officials held for anti-state contents on social media

A woman officer of the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) has been arrested in Lahore while a schoolteacher in Nankana Sahi has been suspended from service for posting comments against the State institutions on social media.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has booked Hina Sheikh, the senior executive at registration branch of Nadra, for allegedly passing derogatory remarks about the Pakistan army and the government in a WhatsApp group — Nadra Lahore — under sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (Peca) on the complaint of her colleague Arif Ali Butt.
According to the first information report (FIR), the officer had incited the general public against the army and the state on social media.
