Hospitals across the UAE welcome New Year babies

Aster Hospital Al Mankhool joyfully welcomed its first newborn of the New Year 2026, a healthy baby boy, born on January 1, 2026, at 7:42 am through a normal delivery.

The baby was born to Shalda Abdul Shereef and Abdul Shereef, marking a special and memorable beginning to the New Year for the family and the medical team at the hospital.

Both the mother and the newborn are reported to be in good health.

Expressing his happiness and gratitude, the baby's father, Abdul Shereef, said, "Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff of Aster Hospital Mankhool for the excellent support during my wife's delivery. We are truly grateful for the kindness and professionalism. We will always remember your kindness."

At Burjeel Medical City, the new year began with the birth of Emirati baby Saeed Saif Al Rumaithi at exactly 12am to be the first baby born at the hospital in 2026. Saeed was born to his Emirati parents, Saif Saeed Juma Al Ahbab Al Rumaithi and his wife, weighing 3.302 kg.
