Gold eases as yields rise, investors book profits

Gold eased on Monday due to slightly firmer US Treasury yields and profit-taking following last week's sharp rally driven by weak US jobs data.

Spot gold lost O.I per cent to $3,359.99 per ounce, as of 0911 GMT after rising more than 2 per cent on Friday.
However, US gold futures gained 0.4 per cent to $3,413.40.
The benchmark IO-year Treasury yield ticked higher from Friday's five-week low, dulling nonyielding bullion's appeal.
