Dubai Police, DMA seize 41 jet skis over violations

Dubai Police, in collaboration with the Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA), have carried out an intensive inspection campaign targeting jet ski users, resulting in issuing 431 fines and the impoundment of 41 non-compliant jet skis.

Sheikh Dr Saeed Bin Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, CEO of DMA, stated: “The collaborative efforts between regulatory entities reflect our strategic vision of positioning Dubai as a global model for maritime safety. This initiative underscores our commitment to providing a secure and sustainable environment for all sea users, thereby supporting economic growth and strengthening Dubai's reputation as a leading global maritime hub.”
He added, “The safety of all marine users remains a top priority. We continue to enhance regulatory frameworks and adopt advanced technologies to ensure full compliance with maritime laws, while also fostering a culture of responsibility among sea-goers. Cooperation between regulatory and awareness bodies is key to creating a safer and more sustainable maritime environment in Dubai.”
