Court orders man to return Dhs195,000 to another

The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court ruled that an individual must pay Dhs195,000 to another, as the former had asked the latter to transfer the amount to his sister's account for investment in the car industry, promising that he would receive interest.

However, the former took the amount for himself unlawfully.

In details, the plaintiff filed a lawsuit against the defendant and the latter’s sister, requesting that they pay him Dhs!95,000 in total, with 9 per cent per annum from the date of the claim until the date of payment. They should also cover the legal fees and expenses.

The plaintiff filed his lawsuit on the basis that the first defendant asked him to transfer Dhs200,000 on the condition that he would invest it in cars, obtain interest and use it to pay off loan instalments, leaving him with additional interest.
