Common good of humanity UAE's main goal: President

Mohamed says UAE is committed to supporting collective global efforts to address numerous health challenges; UAE President discusses bilateral issues with Kurdistan leader.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated on Xplatform: "Investing in health is for a better future for societies. On 'World Health Day,' we affirm that the UAE is steadfast in enhancing its approach that places health at the top of development priorities, promotes a culture of healthy living, and raises awareness about the dangers of diseases and their negative impacts on individuals, communities, and the nation.

"The world faces numerous health challenges, and the UAE is committed to supporting international collective efforts to address them and encouraging scientific innovations and solutions for the common good of humanity."

World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on April 7, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organisation (WHO), as well as other related organisations.

Also on Monday Sheikh Mohamed received Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, who is on a working visit to the UAE.

During the meeting, held at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed reviewed with Barzani relations between the UAE and the Republic of Iraq, with a particular focus on the Kurdistan Region.
