ACC President dies in tragic accident outside UAE

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, extended his sincere condolences to Al Shafar family on the passing of the businessman Osama Ahmed Al Shafar, former member of the Federal National Council (FNC) and President of the Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC), following a tragic accident outside the UAE.

Sheikh Hamdan wrote on his X account: “We extend our sincere condolences to the esteemed Al Shafar family on the passing of Osama Ahmed Al Shafar, asking Allah Almighty to grant him His mercy and forgiveness, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace. Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will all return.”

Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, also mourned Al Shafar and offered his condolences and sympathy to his family.
