Akram wants players and fans to keep emotions in check at Asia Cup in UAE
Former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram believes India will enter next month’s Asia Cup in the UAE as the favourites, citing their strong recent performances.
“India has been in better form recently and will start as favourites,” Akram told Telecom Asia Sport. “But ultimately, the team that handles pressure best on the day will come out on top. This Asia Cup promises to be a treat for fans around the world.”
Looking ahead to the much-anticipated India-Pakistan showdown scheduled for September 14 at the Dubai International Stadium, Akram acknowledged the intense hype surrounding the rivalry but urged both players and supporters to keep their emotions in check.
