AIRLINE TO RECEIVE FIVE MORE JETS THIS YEAR TO TAKE THE FULL-YEAR TOTAL TO 12

- BY DHANUSHA GOKULAN

Dubai-based carrier flydubai has announced it will have received a total of 12 new aircraft by the end of 2025, significantly boosting its strategic growth plans. Despite this major delivery, the airline remains 20 aircraft behind its original projections due to what it described as "extensively delayed" backlogs.

The airline has already taken delivery of seven new Boeing 737 MAX 8s between April and August, bringing its current fleet to 93 aircraft. Five more are scheduled to arrive before the end of the year, enabling the airline to serve more than 135 destinations in 57 countries.
