3 dead as Cyclone Ditwah heaps rain on Tamil Nadu

Over 2,300 people accommodated in 38 relief camps in nine districts

Three people have died in rain-related incidents in three districts in Tamil Nadu since Saturday evening as Cyclone Ditwah brought torrential rains to the State.

While two persons died due to wall collapse in Thanjavur and Thoothukudi districts, one died due to electrocution in Mayiladuthurai district, the State Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran said yesterday morning. Over 2,300 people have been accommodated in 38 relief camps in nine districts, he said.
