Summer of change as 19 players leave Kingsholm

GLOUCESTER have confirmed it is going to be a significant summer of change to the club’s squad with 19 players leaving Kingsholm following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.

Amongst the high-profile players moving on are Scotland international centre Chris Harris, pack stalwarts Ruan Ackermann and Freddie Clarke, and star number eight Zach Mercer who is cutting his stay short having been ovelooked by England. Mercer is expected to join Toulon.
Also heading for pastures new are Fijian international Albert Tuisue and Argentine prop Mayco Vivas, while the club had already confirmed the departures of Santi Carreras to Bath, Gareth Anscombe to Bayonne and Christian Wade to rugby league side Wigan.
Hooker George McGuigan has already joined Ospreys and Italian international number nine Stephen Varney departed earlier in the season to join Top 14 side Vannes.
