PA strengthens presence after by-election gains

Happy times for the PA as it comes out on top in both wards.

According to the official IEC results, the PA secured victories in wards 17 and 27, both previously held by the DA, marking a notable shift in voter support in areas where the DA has traditionally performed strongly.

The PA's regional leader, Derick Petersen, described the results as a clear vote of confidence from the local communities. “The Patriotic Alliance can state unequivocally that the community has entrusted us with their votes. Our growth as a party can no longer be argued away or denied,” he said.

While the DA performed slightly better in one voting district, the PA's stronger support in the remaining area tipped the balance in its favour.
