Heroes and kids share the fun

The children and the firefighters had an equally fun time at the various obstacle courses at the Garden Route Mall last weekend.

Interestingly enough, the George Herald Facebook video of the children enjoying themselves, crawling through smoke tunnels and rolling up waterpipes attracted even more views than the actual event!

This formed part of the Toughest Firefighter Alive South Africa (TFA-SA) competition, hosted in George last weekend. The gruelling three-day test of strength, endurance and teamwork drew hundreds of firefighters from across South Africa, all vying for the title of the nation's toughest firefighter.
