Recyclable fashion turns heads at Tyholora

Heads turned and creativity stole the spotlight during a unique fashion show held at Tyholora Primary on Friday 30 May, when learners from schools across the region brought their own eye-catching creations made entirely from recyclable materials to the runway.

The event formed part of the Garden Route District's Designing a Greener Future initiative, a campaign aimed at promoting environmental awareness, creativity and community upliftment through the use of art and design.

With scissors in hand and innovation in mind, learners from participating schools, George High, Parkdene High, Heatherlands High, Jonga High, Thembalethu High, Imizamo Yethu High and Tyholora Primary, spent weeks preparing their unique creations. They were joined by schools from surrounding areas, including Môrester High, Franken Primary and Bridgeton Secondary.
