RAPE, BLACKMAIL, AND 'SABAB': THE DEAFENING SILENCE OF ISLAMIC CLERICS

Recently in May 2025, Bhopal incidents, where Hindu girls were raped by being organized Muslim youths, made videos and blackmailed, kept Roja, wearing a burqa and asked for a photo. Such disgusting acts are going to shock the society.

Do Muslim youth really get sabbab on raping Hindu women? Did an Indian cleric, religious leader and Islamic scholar factually denote this youth?

In 1992, 250 Hindu students and women aged 11 to 20 in Ajmer led to gang rape and blackmailing under the leadership of Farooq and Nafees Chishti. In Beawar district, Hindu minor girls were exploited and blackmailed by Muslim youths, whose case was registered at Bijayanagar police station. Recently raped a 12 -year-old Hindu girl by 74-year-old Maulvi in Uttarakhand. From the 1992 Ajmer scandal to the rape of a minor girl by a cleric in Uttarkhand, there have been many cases where the aggrieved side has suffered the pain of religious fanaticism, collective and systemic exploitation. It is not only inhuman for the victims, but also highlights the silence of the society that remains silent due to only “religious appeasement” or “political facility” towards these crimes.
