RAJASTHAN FIRING AND FIELD TESTING RANGES

Rajasthan is home to key military installations. The Pokhran Firing Range in Jaisalmer, employed in trials of artillery such as the M-777 howitzer and Indian atomic tests in 1998 is one such military installation. The Mahajan Firing Range in Bikaner is used to carry out large-scale exercises and is utilized to stage joint exercises between Indian and other international forces quite regularly. These installations guarantee combat preparedness against regional threats.
