ACB seeks sanction to prosecute 2 RAS officers in Udaipur land scam

In a significant move, the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has sought sanction from the Department of Personnel (DOP) under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act to prosecute two Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers and a town planner for their alleged involvement in a fraudulent land deal in Udaipur.

The officials named in the request are RAS officers Nitendra Pal Singh and Sawan Kumar Chayal, along with Town Planner Ritu Sharma.
