Waaree Energies reported an 89% rise in net profit to ₹745 crore for Q1 FY26, driven by record solar PV module production of 2.3 GW.
Revenues rose 31.48% y-o-y to ₹4,597.18 crore, supported by strong sales and operational efficiency.
Whole-time director and CEO Amit Paithankar tells Raghavendra Kamath that the firm is well-poised to operate in the green hydrogen space.

What are Waaree's plans in the green hydrogen space?
We are coming up with an electrolyser manufacturing facility by FY27 for which land has been acquired.
It's very close to our Chikli facility, which is the key gigafactory that we have in south of Gujarat.
The capacity will be 300 MW capacity to start with, and depending on how market evolves, we will look at expansion.
