Out on bail in rape case, ex-Kerala govt pleader found dead

A FORMER SPECIAL prosecutor with the National Investigation Agency, who was out on bail in a sexual assault case from 2023, was found dead in Kollam on Sunday in what appears to be a case of suicide.
Police said the body of P G Manu, 54, who also served as senior state government pleader in the High Court, was found hanging at a rented house in Kollam city. A native of Piravom in Ernakulam, Manu had been staying in Kollam for the last few months.
