CBS News to cut 6% of workforce, source says

CBS NEWS WILL lay off about 6% of its workforce, according to a source familiar with the matter, in the latest move under new Editor-In-Chief Bari Weiss to revamp the network and boost its ratings to catch up with rivals ABC and NBC.

“It’s no secret that the news business is changing radically, and that we need to change along with it,’ according to a memo sent to employees by Weiss and CBS News President Tom Cibrowski, which was seen by Reuters.
