Ministries Asked To Return Unspent Funds By March 19

EMPHASISING THAT NO savings should be held in reserve for possible future excesses, the finance ministry has asked all ministries to surrender the likely unspent amount foreseen from their respective budgetary allocations without waiting till the end of the year.
"It is, therefore, requested the surrenders of savings under each unit of appropriation may be sent to Budget Division, ministry of finance latest by March 19, 2025," the department of economic affairs said in an office memorandum on Wednesday.
