Mercedes-Benz Drives In Its Most Expensive Car

WITH TOP-END VEHICLES (TEVs) priced above ₹1.5 crore now accounting for 25% of its sales, Mercedes-Benz India is doubling down on the ultra-luxury segment.
The company has launched its most expensive car yet—the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series, priced at ₹4.2 crore.
Maybach is the ultra-luxury division of the carmaker—and the SL 680 is the fourth Maybach in India. Others are Maybach S-Class (₹2.77 crore), Maybach EQS SUV electric (₹2.28 crore), and Maybach GLS (₹3.39 crore).
"There is high acceptance of Maybach in India. Last year, we sold more than 500 Maybach cars here, registering 145% growth," said Santosh Iyer, CEO & MD, Mercedes-Benz India, told FE.
