Over 61 mn farmers have digital IDs linked to land records: Govt

Target of 110 mn set for FY27
THE UNION AGRICULTURE ministry in collaboration with state governments has provided digital IDs to over 61 million farmers across 14 states, according to a senior official.
The facility will help develop a database for farmers which is linked to their land records. These unique digital IDs — referred to as Kisan Pehchaan Patra — will contain details such as landholdings, crops cultivated, and other relevant information.
