Hexaware acquires US-based SMC Squared for GCC foray

HEXAWARE TECHNOLOGIES HAS acquired SMC Squared, a US-based firm that builds and manages Global Capability Centres (GCCs). The deal marks Hexaware's formal entry into GCC services with the launch of a new service line — GCC 2.0, the IT firm said.

The new offering will combine Hexaware's IT delivery platforms with SMC Squared's experience in build-operate-transfer and managed services models. The aim is to provide strategic value beyond cost savings, especially through a mix of human expertise and AI-led platforms. The firm did not disclose the deal value or any other details of the transaction.
