CPSEs, Railways & NHAI Report 15% Rise in Q1 Capex

CENTRAL PUBLIC SECTOR enterprises (CPSEs) and other state-run agencies, namely the railways and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), have reported an aggregate capital expenditure growth of 15% in the first quarter of this financial year.
They achieved a total capex of ₹1.67 lakh crore in Q1 FY26—21.34% of the annual target—compared with ₹1.46 lakh crore, or 18.5% of the corresponding target achieved in the year-ago period.
