Memorial event is celebration of girls' football

MORE than 150 girls from schools across Devon took to the pitch last week for the annual Catherine Fraser Memorial Tournament.
Organised by Exeter City Community Trust, where she used to work, the tournament at Exwick Sports Hub brought together 22 teams from 13 secondary schools across the county, with matches held in a six-a-side format.
The event was a celebration of girls’ football, teamwork and sporting spirit, held in memory of Catherine, whose passion for engaging young people in sport continues to inspire the tournament's values.
