GUNNERS FORWARD MARTINELLI UPBEAT OVER TITLE CHANCES DESPITE CITY TAKING OVER AT THE SUMMIT

GABRIEL MARTINELLI insists that Arsenal’s fighting spirit can keep their title bid alive.

Manchester City are now top of the Premier League on goal difference, after beating the Gunners 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium last night.

Arsenal have failed to win any of their past four games in all competitions and are on their worst run of form this season.

Individual errors cost Mikel Arteta’s side, as all three of City’s goals came from Arsenal giving away possession.

But the Gunners still have a game in hand on City, and Martinelli has called for unity as they look to bounce back at Aston Villa in the early kick-off on Saturday.

“We know our team, we know our qualities and we are going to stick together,” said Martinelli. “There are still a lot of games to play.

“We know our strengths and we will bounce back. We are a family, and we are going to fight until the end.
