THE leader of the campaign for justice in the Post Office scandal, Alan Bates, said criminal prosecutions should now be considered, as he prepared to give evidence to the public inquiry.

Time to consider criminal prosecutions for Post Office bosses, says campaigner Bates

Mr Bates founded the Justice for Subpostmasters Alliance and took on the Post Office over 16 years of persecution and prosecution of innocent branch managers. The story was recently turned into a hit ITV drama - Mr Bates vs The Post Office - which chronicled his years of campaigning min search of justice. Mr Bates is the first witness scheduled to give evidence to the fifth phase of the Post Office Horizon IT public inquiry into the scandal.
