My mother was in shock after crash on slopes, Apple Martin tells court

GWYNETH PALTROW’S daughter says her mother was “shaken up” after a ski crash and abandoned her day on the slopes to go for a massage, a US court has been told.

Apple Martin, 11 at the time, said the Oscar-winning actress was “frantic” and “in a state of shock” after the collision with retired optometrist Terry Sanderson at the Deer Valley resort in Utah in 2016. In a statement read out during Paltrow’s legal battle with Mr Sanderson, Apple said she was “concerned” for her mother who was “visibly upset”.

Mr Sanderson, 76, is suing the star for at least £244,000 ($300,000) in damages, claiming she was responsible for him suffering broken ribs and a brain injury. But Paltrow denies blame, insisting he was the one who crashed into her.
