Collecting foliage and flowers for indoor decorations apart, it won't harm the garden to tick over for a couple of days.

After all, we need an opportunity to stand and stare, after which it’s back down to business.

The greenhouse is our priority.

After four seasons of playing host to a diversity of plants edible and ornamental, it is time to clear the decks of any remaining debris, wash all the pots and trays, clean the glass and scrub the staging, all in preparation for a fresh generation of plants.

A peach and two vines are permanent residents.
