Actor Cox backs anti-poverty campaign ahead of rally in Capital

Award-winning actor Brian Cox has pledged his support to a national antipoverty campaign, calling on the UK and Scottish governments to deliver on “their promises to reduce poverty”.

Brian Cox: 'It's time that politicians delivered on their promises'
As part of the Scotland Demands Better (SDB) campaign, the Scottish actor said both governments must do more to reduce the number of people living below the poverty line.
It comes ahead of an SDB march and rally in Edinburgh tomorrow, which is expected to be supported by nearly 300 antipoverty groups, trade unions, faith groups and environmentalists, as well as other charities and organisations.
