Man, 69, found guilty of 16 sexual offences, seven of rape

A LINCOLNSHIRE man who conducted a “campaign of rape” and caused “severe damage” has been found guilty of more than a dozen sexual offences.

Gary Ward committed the offences in the Louth area against a single victim, including when they were just a child.
The 69-year-old was found guilty of 16 sexual offences, including seven charges of rape. He appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Wednesday, May 21, and was immediately remanded to serve his jail term of 20 years.
The Judge stated at the conclusion of the hearing that Ward, of Ladysmith Road in Grimsby, had conducted a “campaign of rape” and caused “severe damage.”
