Golden Jubilee's support for D&G patients

More than 500 cardiology, heart and lung surgeries for NHS Dumfries and Galloway patients have been carried out by dedicated staff at the NHS Golden Jubilee in the past year.
New figures by the national institution, independently run by its own NHS board and providing specialist cardiac care including heart transplantation, also show that during 2024/2025 it delivered more than 4,200 procedures for patients from Dumfries and Galloway. This meant faster diagnosis and quicker access to treatment for specialities such as hip and knee replacements, cataracts, and diagnostic imaging such as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and ultrasound scans—by the specialist teams at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital in Clydebank, near Glasgow.
