The Gladiators stormed to a 6-2 home win despite playing for the majority of the second half with 10 men.

Ben Sault was dismissed for a second bookable offence in the 57th minute but Matlock had scored all their goals by then.

Declan Eratt-Thompson opened the scoring with a 16th-minute rocket that flew into the net before Washington lifted the ball over the visiting keeper to make it 2-0 five minutes later.

Washington scored his second before the break and three minutes into first-half stoppage time skipper Liam Ravenhill made it 4-0 with a tap in.

The torment continued for Blyth early in the second half as Wilson curled home his first and Matlock's fourth in the 48th minute.

It was 6-0 when Wilson doubled up in the 52nd minute before Sault was sent off for two bookings in quick succession.
