RISING river levels prompted flood warnings and alerts across Derbyshire and the wider East Midlands over the weekend.

The Environment Agency issued several flood warnings on Saturday, meaning flooding is expected and residents should act now.
In Derbyshire, the following flood warnings were issued: Etwall Brook at Etwall, Foston Brook at Foston; Hilton Brook at Sutton on the Hill and Uttoxeter Road Hilton; Lower Derwent; Lower Dove; Lower Dove Brook and Egginton Brook; River Amber; River Erewash. Most warnings were removed between 7am and 10am on Sunday.
