POLICE have described a frightening assault in a Derby street where a Mercedes pulled up to a main road junction, before three men jumped out and launched an assault on another man.

Officers investigating the assault have now urged anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.

The incident took place on the corner of Osmaston Road and Horton Street on Sunday, August 17, between 7.05pm and 7.30pm. A red Mercedes saloon car containing four men pulled up and three of them got out and began attacking a man in the street.

They then stole two phones and a wallet from the man, before leaving the scene in the car, police said.
