Tiring season but Alex proud to play his part in Brewers' survival mission

AND HARTRIDGE THRILLED TO SCORE AGAINST ORIENT

(SHUTTERSTOCK)

Last Saturday, a draw away against Leyton Orient, in which Hartridge scored the second equaliser in an end-to-end game, ensured a sixth game unbeaten and a 17th-placed finish for the Brewers.

Asked how he was feeling after the match, and indeed the long 46-game season, the centre-half, who has been a mainstay in the team, said: “Tired! Exhausted! I'm proud of what we've done this season. Proud of the group.

“A positive result (against Leyton Orient) was only what we deserved for the performance but also for what we've done across the season. It was nice that it was under a bit less stress and we could kind of enjoy playing with each other in a less high pressure atmosphere.
