Rams' rivals looking to make the right moves

THE transfer window is open for business and Derby County, like plenty of other sides in the Championship, are waiting to seal their first move of the summer.

With players still under contract until June 30, the market tends to be slow in the opening couple of weeks before it really kicks into gear in July when teams return for pre-season.

Derby are working hard behind the scenes as they look to revamp their squad this summer and there has been no shortage of rumours and gossip doing the rounds.

The Rams’ interest in Blackburn duo Andi Weimann and Danny Batth is strong and both remain serious options to join the club, with Rovers increasingly pessimistic that both will depart.

Hull City full-back Cody Drameh and Nurnberg striker Mahir Emreli are also said to be on the Rams’ radar as Eustace oversees his first full transfer window in charge since being appointed head coach back in February.

Swansea City sign Cameron Burgess

The Swans have signed 29-year-old Australian international Cameron Burgess on a three-year deal from Ipswich Town.

He was out of contract at the Tractor Boys and follows Bobby Wales, Zeidane Inoussa and Ricardo Santos to the Welsh club.

Burgess got his start at Fulham andthen had loan spells with Oldham Athletic, Ross County and Bury before joining Accrington Stanley in 2020.
